The reception may be over, but the party is only just getting started. Are you prepared?
Choose a theme
There’s a variety of options for you to choose when it comes to planning an after-party. You could coordinate a fun, late-night group activity, host a party in the hotel lounge or head to the town for a night of drinking and dancing in bars and clubs. It’s fun to have a themed night, such as a casino night, karaoke night or disco theme. You could even decorate limos and party buses to go along with the theme – just have some fun with it!
Budget allowing, there’s nothing stopping you from adding a few surprises to your after party. Why not hire sweet candy carts, light up letters or a magic mirror photo booth? These personal touches make the evening much more memorable, particularly the photo booth where everyone can take their own photos home of the evening. To add a touch of sparkle and elegance to the evening, consider looking into LED dancefloor hire in Hertfordshire. A starlight dancefloor is perfect for getting people up and dancing the night away!
Feed the crowd
Even though you may have served a delicious dinner at reception, your guests would have been dancing and drinking for hours so your guests will most probably get hungry. For an extra touch, why not hire a street food truck to serve up sliders, fries and milkshake at midnight to get your guests well fuelled. For those with a sweet tooth, why not set up a make-your-own ice cream sundae station, or have a doughnut wall at your party reception – providing an excellent Instagram moment for guests!
The send off
After such a fun filled day (and evening!) the last thing guests want to worry about is how they’re going to get home. Hire an after-party bus or order cabs so that people can leave when they want to. That way, people can stay as long as they like and don’t have to worry about arranging travel home.
